We had a good mix of club members attend the evening.  Interest thing is how the lift comes up to the bar rather than reception.

In Sydney, so many activities are held outside simply because… you can. On Sunday, Oct 25th we took in the annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. Chris and I figured that rather than go just on our own, we’d extend the invitation to the Canadian Australian club and hope a few others would join us. We were happy to meet Tennys, Melanie and Stephen and the five of us meandered along the stunning coastal walk that stretches 2km from Bondi to Tamarama and showcases over 100 sculptures from around the globe.

The sun was shining, there was a light breeze drifting ashore and the beaches, hilltops, rocks and even the  water showcased the masterpieces that comprised this unique exhibition. We started at the Tamarama end where we interacted with a huge x’s and o’s board via mobile technology, met some friendly goldens, spotted a whale frolicking in the sea and spent 3 hours appreciating the eclectic works born from steel, stone, wood and glass. We shared our reactions and interpretations and concluded our trek at the landmark Bondi Icebergs Club for lunch.

I reviewed our photos & I’m not sure which I found more spectacular, the sculptures themselves or the stunning landscape…so, I’m sharing a few pics of both! This event is on until November 2nd.
