Recently the Club was contacted by CAC member Giles Solomon who was hoping we could spread this message. If you have a spare room and can assist a young, travelling Canadian traveling to the G20 YEA Summit, please email Giles directly.

Could anyone help with accommodation for Rebecca?

She will be in Sydney on a mission to “Help Promote Young Entrepreneurs Globally”. Rebecca is from Barrie, Ontario and will be in Sydney from July 16 - 23rd and needs a place to stay during the G20 YEA Summit. Unfortunately, we are unable to help with accommodation  but thought there might be someone out there amongst CAC members that might be able to assist.

The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a collective of leading entrepreneurship support organizations representing the G20 countries who seek to promote youth entrepreneurship as a powerful driver of economic renewal, job creation, innovation and social change. Country members include: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UK, the USA, South Africa and Argentina. The European Union is also represented in the G20 YEA.

See these links for more info on Rebecca. If anyone could contact me directly via email if they can help with accommodation and I’ll connect them with my friends.

    Many thanks!

    Calling all Canadians!

Are you travelling across Australia or on working holiday here? Most importantly, do you love taking videos of your adventures? Then you should submit your videos to CANADIAN DOWN UNDER for your chance to share your stories and win great prizes!

Possible Worlds: Festival of U.S. and Canadian Cinema is teaming up with International Experience Canada and Canada Down Under (a project by Canadian Consulate Sydney) in running a competition looking for video clips of Australia, from natural landscapes & wild life to iconic buildings, Bondi Beach and more - through the eyes of Canadians in the country. The best clips will be selected and compiled into a short TVC which will be played before every screening at the Possible Worlds Film Festival this year.

The 10 best submissions will win one of 10 travel vouchers (worth $150 each) from Working Holiday Club, which can be used to travel domestically in Australia or overseas from Australia.
If your video is the one that they use the most footage of, then you win a double VIP pass to 2014 Possible Worlds Film Festival and a 10 night accommodation ePack plus free membership from YHA Australia for 2 people!

To submit is easy – just fill out this online form and send your clips via any file transfer system (i.e DropBox, HighTail, WeTransfer, etc).

For more information about the competition, visit: or email:

This competition closes on Friday, 7th of July. Good luck!

The Club was recently contacted to see if we could find any Australian Acadians. Please forward this on to any relevant people!

Our Social Media team is publishing a Facebook album of Acadians (or Acadian-lovers) from all over the world.

We’re looking for #selfie showing off any Acadian sign (they can be as creative as they’d like, or use a flag, a hat, paper…)

Ideally, we’d like the picture to identify where they are. In the background, a country flag or iconic monument (BigBen, Taj Mahal, Tour Eiffel, Machu Pichu etc.)

For this initiative, the hashtags would be : #OuEstlAcadie #WhereIsAcadie

We’d like to launch this project in June. So we need your help today. Ask your friends from away to take such a picture and send it our way. We’d really appreciate it.

We need at least 10 to start. Thanks for your HELP in advance.

Message us if you have any question.

New Brunswick Tourism, Heritage, Culture Social Media Hub :)
