Hey Movie Lovers, grab some popcorn and don't miss these two great films being featured at the Sydney Festival this year!

Some Kind of Love

THU 11 JUN 4:45 PM STATE THEATRE

FRI 12 JUN 8:05 PM DENDY OPERA QUAYS CINEMA

In 2010, filmmaker Thomas Burstyn charmed SFF audiences with This Way of Life, about a horse-loving family in New Zealand's Ruahine Ranges. His talent for celebrating the eccentric is on display again with this moving documentary about his step-aunt and her older brother. Yolanda Sonnabend has a touch of Grey Gardens about her. It's not just her dilapidated house in one of London's more ritzy suburbs, or the overwhelming clutter that surrounds her, but the awkward relationship with her sibling.

When a battered fishing boat sailed from Vancouver for Alaska's Amchitka Island in 1971, the motley crew of tree-huggers, hippies, journalists and scientists weren't planning to physically stop US nuclear weapon tests – they were there to bear witness. The voyage started a movement. As the inaugural president of Greenpeace, journalist and environmentalist Bob Hunter led the first anti-whaling campaign, which shocked the world with graphic images of oceanic slaughter.
