10 + cities, 100 + travellers, 1 movement taking over Australia. Project Y U DO Australia was conceived by a Canadian young woman with the idea of celebrating the international stories of courage and strength of new migrants of Australia in a fun and creative way. Everyone has a different goal and a different dream and that unique story is what needs to be captured through conversation.

Project Y U DO is travelling across Australia asking migrants (who are on different types of visas) to be part of the conversation around a simple question: What motivated you to travel to Australia?

By taking part in this project, participants will be receiving an e-book compilation filled with pictures & stories encompassing the stories captured. The big part will be when the 100 stories gets published into a book. We are looking for people who are willing to have a chat either in person or through Skype.

If you would like to be part of the conversation, please send a request to Carolyne at: or

through the Contact Us section of the website

At this stage, we are also looking for people with illustrations, photography graphic design, editing, marketing publishing skills who would be willing to volunteer some time in order to shape the book.

Please contact Carolyne at, if you can spare some of your time.

Thank you to everyone for taking part in the movement!

She will be attending on the night of August 8th the Possible Worlds Film Festival, and has an extra ticket and would love to share the experience with someone from Sydney.

Prior to the film screening, there will be an opportunity to meet with employment and travel professionals, representatives of Canadian clubs in Australia and other Canadian Working Holiday Makers as part of the Consulate General of Canada in Sydney.
