A bit about our Thanksgiving Photography Display....

Not only will we have some Canadian Musicians at Thanksgiving, but we will also have a selection of Canadian and Australian photographic images on display.

Canada/Australia  -another look

A keen photographer for many decades, originally in analogue black/white, Philip has taken up digital colour photography after retiring as a professor of media studies at UNSW.

His Canadian images come mostly from Alberta mountains and elevated lakes, and from the Inside Passage, B.C. He has included a couple of reminders of Montreal and Quebec City, as well.

The few Australian images focus on how wind and water etch and age very small rock formations, especially soft Hawkesbury sandstone, just as they do the vast Channel Country of Western Queensland.

Larger, limited-edition prints of a selection of these images were hung at “Earth/scale", a recent exhibition at Barometer Gallery, Paddington.

All images can be purchased at Thanksgiving or ordered by contacting Philip at p.bell@unsw.edu.au.

Profits from sales made  through the CAC on Thanksgiving will be donated  back to the  Club.
